Adventures with Oslo: World of Water is the follow-up to Adventures with Oslo: Tools and Gadgets and covers information about water. In comparison to its predecessor, the game features less, but more involved sections: Winston and the Great Water Cycle Story: This is a linear novel which tells the story of Winston, the water molecule. Within the text are multiple icons which lead to supplemental scientific information, animations and videos. Oslo's Coloring Book:A drawing program which can be used for own creations or coloring included pictures. Oslo's WaterWorks BoardGame: A virtual board game. First the player chooses the aggregate phase of the playing stone which means either 0, 1 or 2 advances on the board. The second step is clicking the spinning button which gives two randomly generated numbers: one of them can be chosen and the number is added to the number of moves which are executed afterwards. Depending on the field the player lands on, special effects may take place: receiving clams or having the aggregate phase locked for the next move. Cyberchess is a 1-player chess teaching and playing tool based upon a mechanical chess playing machine. Based upon a series of four previously played games between chess grandmasters, the player must set up their own chess board and follow along with these games. Gameplay consists of multiple-choice questions, where the player tries to guess the move the grandmaster player made next. If the player gets the move correct, they are rewarded with points. If they guess incorrectly, they are docked points based upon how poor their move was in relation to the the grandmaster. The score is followed through the game, with the player ultimately being rewarded a final score based upon their chess game.
Spider Solitaire, also known as Microsoft Spider Solitaire (Spider in the About box in some versions), is a solitaire card game that is included in Microsoft Windows. It is a version of Spider. As of 2005, it was the most played game on Windows PCs, surpassing the shorter and less challenging Klondike-based Windows Solitaire. The game was first included as part of Windows 98's Microsoft Plus! package and has been since featured on most subsequent versions of Windows. Spider Solitaire was not included in Windows 2000, but was added to Windows ME and later on Windows XP; the game gained popularity subsequent to its inclusion in the latter. Windows Vista again saw a new version, which was mainly unchanged in Windows 7. Finally, Windows 8 has another updated version available in the Windows Store as part of Microsoft Solitaire Collection but not bundled with the operating system.
