Makaimura Gaiden: The Demon Darkness is a action platforming game released in Japan for the Game Boy in 1993. It is the second title for the handheld platform featuring the demon Red Arremer (also known outside of Japan as Firebrand, a boss from Ghosts 'n Goblin) as the player character. The game was originally set to be localized in English as Gargoyle's Quest II, but North American release plans were eventually cancelled.
Despite many sources claiming that Tenchi wo Kurau for Game Boy is a port of the NES original, it’s actually a totally new game. It’s not even developed by Capcom, but instead Sun L, the developer responsible for the Game Boy ports of Gargoyle’s Quest II and Street Fighter II. Tenchi wo Kurau follows a similar storyline to the previous entries, but reshuffles things in interesting ways. Rather than starting with Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, and Guan Ye’s blood oath, you begin only as Liu Bei. The initial hour of gameplay involves finding his companions, joining up with the army, and destroying the Yellow Turbans.

The game can also be played co-operatively with a second player who plays as Hayato Ichimoto: the second Kamen Rider. At any time the two players can transform into their Kamen Rider personas, necessary for delivering the final blows on bosses. Kamen Rider was only released on the Super Famicom in Japan.
