Oddballz is a spin-off from the Catz and Dogz series, from P.F. Magic. This time, as the title states, the pets are wacky creatures, more alien-like than animal. Now they can make their eyes come out of their sockets and literally be scared to pieces, while retaining a comic look and feel (something impossible while dealing with Dogz or Catz). The mechanics are pretty much the same in every game of the series, and here the player also gets to pet them, teach them tricks, punish them or just play around. The Oddballz will respond to each and every move and they can even morph into something else, depending on what the player does. The tools the player can use are also very different from the ones in Dogz and Catz, and also have a wacky feel to them. There are tools like the Robo Pogo, the Gravitron, Seismo Ball, Transformer, Atomic Ball, and the delicious Liqui-Food, for feeding the pets. The company also made additional Oddballz available for download from their site, to add to the starting lot of seven.
Catz 2 is the second game in which you are given catz to play with on your computer. In this sequel there are many breeds to choose from including shorthairs and siamese. There are also many environments for them to play in. In the playpen where you can keep an eye on them, full screen mode where your catz can play over open applications and programs, active full screen mode where they can play behind open programs and applications. Finally there is screen saver mode where your catz can protect your computer if you set up password activation. Along with the above there is also the petz supply shelf where you will find many toys for your catz to play with. On the shelf you will also find the paint tin which gives you the option to paint your catz any colour you wish. If you own the first catz game it is also possible for them to play in the new environment of catz 2 so you don't have to give up caring for your catz from the first game.
Catz 3 is a virtual pet program wherein the player raises a kitten to adulthood. The player can have as many petz as they want and can play with up to 3 at a time. There are 10 different breeds of catz to choose from and more that can be downloaded from online sources. Male and female catz can breed and have unique kittens, mixing their breeds. Many people online run their own breeders where you can download and trade unique kittens from other owners. There are multiple play areas to choose from including a beach, backyard, kitchen, and living room. There are also lots of toyz for your catz to play with and clothing if you like to dress up your animals. Some catz can be trained to do tricks, and their behavior is based on how well they're treated, and how much attention they get. If they are abused, they will run away from home. This program integrates smoothly with it's counterpart Dogz 3 allowing you to play with your dogz and catz at the same time. No weird inter-breeding though! Other features include family history trees, a simple webpage creator for showing off one's petz, and the option to make an "adoption kit," so that friends can try the program too.
