The show was filmed in front of a live studio audience at ABC Studios, 4151 Prospect Avenue in Hollywood, California. Amanda's was cancelled in May 1983 after a four-month run of ten episodes, three more episodes remaining unaired by ABC. A&E network broadcast reruns of the show shortly thereafter.
