Tony is a young crook preparing for a bank robbery with her boyfriend Juanjo and their low-life partners Maxi and Moco. Right before they commit the crime, Juanjo informs Tony that his prostitute sister wants him to take her young daughter Laura to visit the girl's father, a flamenco singer in the Spanish southern coastal town of Tarifa. Juanjo persuades the initially reluctant Tony that Laura will provide the couple with a perfect cover after they relieve their partners of the robbery's earnings. Unfortunately, though the robbery comes off without a hitch, the duplicitous Juanjo absconds with the cash, making Tony and Laura fugitives both from the law and from the psychotically angry Maxi and Moco.

Verónica (Maru Valdivielso) is a young executive who works in a dairy company. However, this behavior does not fit with the personality of Lorenzo, and his friend shows him a place where he could buy an Asian wife after a trial period. Lorenzo gets enthusiastic with the idea, and brings a gorgeous woman, who does not speak Spanish, but is an excellent housekeeper, cook and lover. Lorenzo falls in love with her, and before they get married, he starts suspecting she has a lover. He decides to follow her, when many secrets are revealed.

Preoccupied with the question to the point of obsession, he sets out in search of answers, and finds himself on a trail that leads to the Canary Islands.
La que se avecina is a Spanish television comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The TV-series focusing around the inhabitants of Mirador de Montepinar, a fictional building located on the outskirts of a big city. Both its storylines and cast are heavily based on Aquí no hay quien viva, which ended when Telecinco bought Miramón Mendi, the series production company. The episodes debuted on the Telecinco network, and were later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FactoríaDeFicción and Paramount Comedy. The series debuted in 22 April 2007 and became popular thanks to its funny characters, witty script, use of catchphrases and capacity to integrate and poke fun at contemporary issues; the program presents a caustic satire of many of the 'types' found in Spanish society. The name of the show involves wordplay, as "vecina" is the Spanish word for neighbour.
