For 50 years, Hitler’s hat fittingly sat buried at the bottom of Marowitz's magic trick closet. In 1996, Marowitz went public with his story and loaned the hat to the American Museum of Jewish military history.

The two started wandering the streets of DC, recording Chris riffing on the vanishing cityscape — the lost downtown he captured in photos beginning as a child, eventually amassing thousands of stills. But as the hours of footage and the years wore on, Chris found himself a local art star, with a front-page story in the Washington Post Arts section, while Jeff’s original documentary endeavor turned upside down, going haywire, becoming something else entirely. To commemorate the 20 years that have passed since DC-based post-hardcore band Fugazi's last live appearance (November 4, 2002, at the Forum in London), Joe Gross, Joseph Pattisall and Jeff Krulik presented a screening of crowd-sourced, fan-recorded live shows, and rare archival footage to pay tribute to Fugazi's prowess as a live act—for old fans to remember and for a new generation to discover what they missed. This one-off screening event celebrates the fans and their cameras, as much as the band itself—a collision/collusion of the ephemeral moment on stage and the moments captured on camera.
