A naive village girl, Ani (Ayu Azhari), takes a job in a karaoke club in the city after meeting Susana (Yurike Prastica). Actually, Ani’s main reason for taking the job in the city is the hope that she will somehow meet up with Rudy (James Sahertian), a childhood friend. At the karaoke club, Ani attracts unwanted affections from the owner, Robert (Torro Margens). Ani escapes this dilemma when she does, finally, find Rudy. Together, they set up a small business selling ready-made clothes. Robert refuses to give up. He sends some men to beat up Rudy, and even assigns Susana to try to break up Rudy and Ani. Susana is successful. Ani then goes to work with Prasetyo (Willy Dozan), whom she met when she was in the garment business. The relationship between Ani and Prasetyo becomes serious, and they marry. However, Rudy, who is living with Susana, attempts to blackmail Ani with his knowledge of her past involvement with the karaoke club.
Andre (Hudi Prayogo), who is rescued from the ocean by the family of Henry (Turino Djunaidy), falls in love with Henry’s daughter Cynthia (Kiki Fatmala). Buddhist monks Kampala (Golden Casmara) and Targhu (Hans Wanaghi) are traveling around seeking knowledge and expanding their martial arts skills in the lands they visit. Once they reach Malacca, they meet Datuk Saluntung (Baron Hermanto) and his wife Lasmini (Murti Sari Dewi). Upon learning that these two monks wish to meet Brama Kumbara (Fendy Pradana), Lasmini thinks she has found a way to take revenge. These two monks first meet up with Lasmini’s students in Jawadwipa. A fight ensues. Then Lasmini shows up and orders two of her students to report to Brama. The news that Lasmini has allied herself with two monks enrages Brama, but he is able to defeat them easily. Then Mantili (Elly Ermawatie) also becomes angry. However, Lasmini cannot be found. She disappeared after losing the battle. Brama then accepts a challenge by the two monks to test his martial arts skills against theirs. They battle for three days and nights, but nobody wins.
Bagus Pribadi comes from Surabaya to conquer Jakarta with his strength. He meets Ratih, a widow who remains in the shadow of her ex-husband, Sujono.
