A Bosnian woman is released from prison after 13 years. She comes back home, where she finds her young son and his pregnant girlfriend. With luggage and flight tickets in their hands, they are up to travel to start a new life.
It is 1993 when Bekir Hasanović exchanges a gold coin for the camera he will use to film everyday life in Srebrenica during the days of the war. The images he records with his improvised crew, called Dzon, Ben & Boys, give life to the unexpected portrait of a population lost, but able to maintain a proud connection with reality without giving up its typical humor. Ado, Bekir's son, starts from these images and from the pages of the diaries kept by his father to reconstruct, together with his mother Fatima, the image of his father and finally be able to know how he survived the Death March and the Srebrenica genocide.

Europa che Sogna follows the similar fate of the adolescents of the Oratory of Gratosoglio in Milan, the Des Ambrois highschool in Turin, and the Grbavica II elementary school in Sarajevo: the Italian ones forced into lockdown, the Bosnian ones in quarantine for having taken part in the Peace Campus in Milan in February 2020. This experience will undoubtedly change their lives forever, but they will learn that their voices are stronger than any kind of wall.

In order to solve the case, Svetlana Sorga, an experienced inspector of the Belgrade Police Department, begins the investigation. On the night of the premiere, a famous actor dies on stage while performing a suicide scene within the play. As Inspector Sorga digs deeper into the case, she becomes both intrigued and frightened by the strange world hidden behind the theater's curtains. Despite the challenges she faces, Sorga is determined to uncover the truth and determine whether the actor's death was an accident, suicide or murder.
