The film tells the story of a man struggling to save his family from destruction. Polat, whose family has fallen victim to a blood feud, settles in a remote region of Anatolia. There, he lives a secluded life, far from other people. One night, Polat helps Feyzo and his family, who are passing through the area, and finds himself caught up in a battle. Feyzo is fleeing from a group of men who are pursuing him. Shortly thereafter, the group launches an attack. Polat tries to fight back.
