# A Story of Reality Among the Bajau Laut Community A story of reality in a water village community inhabited by the Bajau Laut people in Sabah. In its early days, the residents here had no religion and were visited by several Islamic preachers. One of the preachers who came here was Ustaz Yusof. However, Ustaz Yusof's efforts to persuade the community to accept Islam failed, and he was killed. The prayer house he built was burned down and he died along with several people who were praying there. One of those who died was the mother of Udin, the wife of Marwan. Marwan is someone who refuses to accept Islam and holds a deep grudge against the preachers, especially those called 'ustaz'. Several years later, Ustaz Firdaus arrives at the village with the intention of following in the footsteps of his father, Ustaz Yusof.
