Wooow man this movie had some awesome death scenes in it. They were by far the best I've ever seen, even better than anything like when Jason chops the boy and girl in half through the tent (while they are having sex) with a spear. Even cooler cuz they are suicides! So inspiring I kind of want to do mine that way, yeah. Also, there are some cute pictures of beavers! REALLY cute. THough they could be puppet-beavers.This movie has something for everyone, I recommend it so heartily.

Documentary footage of marching pioneers, airplanes and pilots provided an unexpected counterpoint to the main action of the film. The combination of documentary footage, poetic narration and the stark asceticism of northern nature enhance the atmosphere of The Suicidal waders and give the self-destructive heroes a heroic and noble image.
Serebryanye Golovy is for those people who enjoy watching eccentric movies. Its lack of clear plot, its blend of science [or rather pseudoscience] with mysticism, its bleak landscapes, and partially absurd, partially deeply philosophical speeches - all remind of Tarkovsky, and, just as with his works, require a special viewer. However, this movie is also on some level humourous, in certain actions and words of its characters. There are hints at directors mocking certain scientific or social ideas. It is an interesting movie for those who wish to take a break from action-filled contemporary cinema/television and marvel at what a human mind can conceive.

This film, like most of Yufit’s works, shows his love of 1920’s avant garde cinema, which was considered the highest pinnacle in cinematography.
