Set at the end of the Majapahit era, Bre Wirabhumi, son of Hayamwuruk, but born from a concubine, demands his right to be king of Majapahit. The kingdom is then ruled by Wikramawardhana, son-in-law of Hayamwuruk. To rival Majapahit, Bre Wirabhumi creates the Pamotan kingdom and looks for allies amongst other kingdoms. This creates confusion among the kingdoms friendly with Majapahit. Brama Kumbara (Fendy Pradana) from the Madangkara kingdom tries to settle the dispute. What happens instead is a misunderstanding that leads to the death of Brama’s envoy. Even worst, the lover of the murderer, Lasmini (Murti Sari Dewi), takes revenge by kidnapping Brama’s wife. The conflict then escalates into the Paregreg war between Majapahit and Pamotan.
Brama Kumbara’s plan to build a royal resting place near his teacher’s grave is being obstructed by people from the Kuntala kingdom. They rally their people who live in Brama’s kingdom, Madangkara, and they manage to influence the regents of Madangkara through their wives. Then the regents stop obeying their leader. They also hire highly skilled villains to destroy the resting place. Brama is furious. With Mantili, he pursues all the rebels and exterminates the Kuntala people who are not loyal to Madangkara.
Set during the kingdom of Majapahit after the reign of King Hayam Wuruk, the Saur Sepuh films were based on the popular radio plays in the 80s. Lasmini is raped and thrown into a ravine, but is saved by Granny Lawu. She is then taught martial arts until the granny dies. Then Lasmini leaves the mountain to find her rapists and kills them one by one. One day, she has a fight with Mantili because she is close to Bentar. Then Lasmini returns to Mount Lawu to improve her martial arts. After learning new skills, she returns to challenge all the martial arts experts and is victorious. Mantili then goes to improve his skills from Brama and challenges Lasmini. Now Lasmini is defeated.
Disappointed after seeing his homeland, Pasai, destroyed by the Portuguese, Fadhilah Khan, later known as Fatahillah or Fala Tehan, completes his education in the Holy Land, then joins Sultan Trenggono who rules the Sultanate of Demak. He gains a respectable position as a cleric, then marries the sister of the Emperor, Ratu Pembayun, and Ratu Ayu, the widow of Pati Unus, who died in the battle against the Portuguese in Malacca. The Portuguese want to establish a fort at Sunda Kelapa. But the Sultanate of Demak is determined to wage a war against the Portuguese. Fatahillah is elected as the commanding officer, and he conquers Sunda Kelapa, and changes its name to Jayakarta, which later became Jakarta.

Wawan is an orphan who grows up in the midst of squalour and thieves. Like his friends, he has to pay tribute to their mean boss who enjoys torturing them if the money is too little. This memory is remembered in his adult years, although he works for another boss. He commits no more petty crimes. He has temperance and he won’t kill anybody. But he forgets this restraint when he robs the house of a gold trader. The daughter of the trader who is hiding in the room suddenly runs out when she hears a siren. Wawan panics and kills her. This incident begins to haunt him. With the help of his girlfriend, Suci, whom he meets in the brothel, Wawan intends to give up crime. He works as a labourer in a construction project. His friends worry that he would betray them so they want to kill him. When they attack him, his fellow worker, Daniel, helps him. Daniel, who is a Surabayan thug, invites him to join the gang.
