Zebulon: A Lost Cat

Even death is not the end but only a slight set back and an invitation to wander further</p><p class="bb_paragraph" ></p><p class="bb_paragraph" ><strong>Zebulon</strong> is a tiny 2D platformer with metroidvania mechanics where you will have to use skills and observation to awaken Zebulon's powers in a world filled with surprises and tricky environments</p><p class="bb_paragraph" ></p><p class="bb_paragraph" >This game is made using “fantasy console” <strong>Pico 8</strong> with its recognizable 16-color palette, crunchy sweet 128x128 resolution pixel art and 4-channel chiptune</p><p class="bb_paragraph" >Thanks to the use of <strong>Zepto 8 emulator</strong>, an optional wide mode is included to go beyond Pico 8’s usual square screen, as well as visual filters to tweak your experience (scanlines, CRT, toon, minit...)</p><p class="bb_paragraph" ></p><p class="bb_paragraph" >The <strong>Pico 8</strong> cartridge and all source files are included in a separate free DLC that you can pick up if you want to play it in Pico 8 itself or see how the game was created</p><p class="bb_paragraph" > </p><p class="bb_paragraph" >7 challenges modes exists in Zebulon, each game mode is associated with an achievement: </p><ul class="bb_ul"><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Normal mode : Explore the game and find powers and collectibles </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Bonus mode : You will need to find every bonus before finishing the game </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Explorer : no map for you, have fun wandering around and make your own path </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Minit : you die every minute, you better go fast or you will never get anywhere </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Half-Minit : you die every 30 seconds, only for the bravest of cats </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >9 lives : you can only die 9 times, like every cat </p></li><li><p class="bb_paragraph" >Deathless : just don’t die, not even once... </p></li></ul>
